Who can apply for a grant from the T.E.A.M. Fund?

If you are a current or former Transocean employee and experience a short-term economic hardship due to an unexpected medical need, a natural disaster, or the loss of the loved one, you should be eligible for a grant from the T.E.A.M. Fund. Click here for more information.

What kind of needs are covered by a grant from the T.E.A.M. Fund?

Grants from the T.E.A.M. Fund are designed to provide current and former Transocean employees with short-term assistance for unexpected financial struggles, including, but not limited to illness, injury, or any unexpected medical expense which exceeds insurance provisions; expenses incurred because of a natural disaster, including fires and floods; economic hardship resulting from the loss of a loved one (funeral expenses, hospital bills, etc.).

Is my application confidential?

Yes. All applications reviewed by the T.E.A.M. Committee are confidential.

Do I need to submit any supplemental documents with my application form?

No, you do not need to submit any supplemental documents with your application form. You may, however, be contacted by the T.E.A.M. Committee for additional, relevant documentation during the review process. You can learn more about the review process here.

How are applications evaluated?

Grant decisions are based on the applicant’s stated reason for needing assistance, the purpose of the assistance, the amount of assistance, and the alternative community resources available to the applicant. Applicant names are removed from the application during the review process and are not a part of the consideration. Misrepresentation of a request for assistance may be cause for discipline up to and including termination. You can learn more about the application here.

When will I hear back about my application?

The T.E.A.M. Committee meets no less than quarterly but may meet more frequently, depending on the urgency of a submitted grant application. Once a decision has been reached, the applicant will be notified as soon as possible.

If my application is successful, am I guaranteed to receive the full amount I requested?

Due to finite financial resources, submitting an application for assistance from the T.E.A.M. Fund does not guarantee an award of funds and some requests may only be partially funded.

Can I apply for a grant from the T.E.A.M. Fund more than once?

Employees may apply for assistance through the T.E.A.M. Fund once per calendar year. All requests are confidential. You can learn more about the application process here.
