What is the purpose of the T.E.A.M. Fund?

The purpose of the T.E.A.M. Fund is to help Transocean families throughout the world deal with short-term economic hardships. We recognize that personal tragedy or natural disaster can strike at any moment. We believe that Transocean families are already taking care of one another when times are hard. The T.E.A.M. Fund will take that support to a higher level.

Is the T.E.A.M. Fund a nonprofit?

The T.E.A.M. Fund is a registered 501c(3) organization. You can learn more about what it means to be a registered nonprofit in the US here.

What does the T.E.A.M. Fund do?

The T.E.A.M. Fund is designed to act as a link between members of the global Transocean family. By gathering funds from employees and distributing those funds to fellow employees throughout the world who are struggling to deal with an unexpected financial hardship, the T.E.A.M. Who oversees the T.E.A.M. Fund?

The Transocean Employee Assistance Management Board of Directors, known as the “Committee,” is comprised of current Transocean employees who are committed to the T.E.A.M. Fund mission. The Committee meets no less than quarterly but may meet more frequently, depending on the urgency of a submitted grant application. All grant applications are confidential. Where does the money go?

All donated funds go directly to grant requests for financial assistance from current or former Transocean employees across the globe. The T.E.A.M. Fund is overseen by a Committee of current Transocean employees who have volunteered their time to steward this project. The T.E.A.M. is a separate legal entity from Transocean and funds collected are deposited into a separate T.E.A.M. account.  You can learn more about how to contribute to the T.E.A.M. Fund here.
